The Honda WR-V facelift has been launched digitally in India. Honda is offering the WR-V facelift in two trims - SV and VX with both petrol and diesel engine options with prices ranging from INR 8.50-10.99 lakh. The launch of the 2020 WR-V facelift was delayed considerably due to the coronavirus pandemic. The updated version of the Jazz-based crossover features some minor cosmetic updates and BSVI-compliant versions of the earlier motors.
Talking about the changes to the exterior, the 2020 Honda WR-V features a new chrome-plated grille with horizontal slats. There are new LED projector headlights. Rounding up the updates for the front-fascia are the new foglamps. There are new 16-inch alloy wheels too - the petrol version gets 4-hole Berlina Black wheels while the diesel model gets 5-hole Shark Grey units. On the back you get, new LED taillamps and an LED high-mount stop lamp.
The interior of the WR-V doesn't see a lot of prominent changes, but with that said it is still a feature-rich cabin. There is a 7-inch touchscreen AVN system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, height-adjustable driver's seat, automatic aircon with touchscreen controls, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, and an electric sunroof that are on offer on the top-spec WR-V VX.
The standard safety kit across all variants includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert, speed-sensing door-lock, crash-sensing door-unlock, and ISOFIX child seat restraints.
The 2020 Honda WR-V is powered by a choice of two BS6 engines, there is a 1.2-litre iVTEC naturally-aspirated petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that pumps out 90 bhp and 110 Nm or a 1.5-liter iDTEC diesel unit mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that produces 100 bhp and 200 NM. Unlike the BSIV version, CVT is no longer on offer.
Honda offers the updated WR-V in six exterior color options - Premium Amber Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Radiant Red Metallic. The 2020 Honda WR-V will directly rival the likes of the Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Hyundai Venue.
